Originating in a small town in South Germany, Larusta wrote and performed music solo for a while before relocating to London in 2019, eager to find a band to perform alongside, and while studying in London, he came together with a like-minded group of musicians to become The Dead Dogs; an alternative rock collective with post punk, folk and grunge influences.
